Homewood Suites by Hilton Frederick

We were in town for a wedding and couldn't check in early, so we didn't reach the hotel until 9p, after the reception. We had booked a one-bedroom suite specifically so two people could use separate rooms and have two TVs, but the TV in the living area didn't work. It was late and no one was around to fix it. We offered to change rooms or check out after just 30 minutes there, but neither was allowed without losing our almost $300 room rate. The front desk clerk offered Hilton points, which I didn't want, and gave me a measly 10% discount. There were stains on the sofa and chair in the living area and on the bathroom floor. The next morning, at 5am, I found the coffee maker hadn't been cleaned, so I had to clean the pod and pot myself. Breakfast was another problem: cold, waxy scrambled eggs, cold salty potatoes, no bacon or sausage, and little else beyond cold cereal. There was no fruit, no yogurt in the fridge, and the small amount of oatmeal wasn't refilled. Other guests told me they had stains on their furniture and floors too, and had to get staff to clean before they would stay. We do NOT recommend this property for the accommodations or customer service. Thanks for responding. It's been 2 weeks since I called last week to ask about my refund, and there's still no credit on my VISA.

We stayed here twice, once on the way to our destination and again on the way back. The first stay was marred by a shower that wouldn't get hot. The second was much worse: stained sheets and a stained couch, plus a cracked, very outdated and gross shower. The ceiling fan was dusty too. Why use stained sheets? I'd skip this hotel, especially with so many other suite-style places around. There's a town place suite across the street that I'm sure is much nicer.

If downtown Frederick isn't an option, this hotel is the next best thing. The staff were spectacular, the rooms were clean and well appointed, and breakfast was included and pretty good.

The room was quite nice, but I barely slept because of the noise. I was on the second floor and could hear every step above me, each one sounding like a stomp.
