Barons CreekSide

We stayed in Wasserfall, the most beautiful cabin, and had such a phenomenal time. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay special. We made a trip to Fredericksburg and left engaged, so this place will always be part of a special time for us. We'll be back!

Daniel, the owner, greets guests himself, which made the stay feel warm and personal. We also had very good food and service, and enjoyed live music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. The grounds are lovely, with a vineyard, peaceful pond, and small trails to explore. We stayed in a covered wagon, which was roomier and more comfortable than expected. The big bed was comfortable, and the canvas made it surprisingly easy to keep the temperature comfortable. It felt cozy without being cramped. The whole property is inviting and well set up. We'd definitely return, and would highly recommend the wagon, especially for families. It sounds fun for kids, and the bunk beds are a nice bonus.

The wildlife around our Zug cottage was lovely to watch. Ducks and deer appeared in the mornings and evenings by the little creek and waterfalls, giving the place a peaceful, storybook feel. Soft music welcomed us when we arrived, and the open layout, wood-burning fireplace, and sunken tub made it easy to slow down with a glass of wine. The cabins at Barrons Creekside feel like another world, almost like being back in time or in the Swiss Alps. Their architecture is spot on, and learning that the homes were dismantled in Switzerland, brought here, and rebuilt in Fredericksburg made the stay feel even more special. We also went up to the bar for live music, good food, and even better wine. Everything encourages you to unplug and relax. A unique, romantic, unforgettable place. We'll absolutely come back.

We felt at home in Barons Wagon. Our family of four had plenty of room for glamping, and it had everything we needed. Even with the bathroom separate, the setup felt private. The grounds were peaceful and welcoming, and dinner at The Club was excellent, with great food and a cozy atmosphere. Heaters and blankets are there if winter gets chilly. It's only a five-minute drive to Main St, while still feeling away from town. We'd happily stay again.
