Breezy Hills Cottages

On our second stay here, we tried The Pond for the first time, and it again felt like our home away from home in Fredericksburg. We loved the wildlife, from deer, turtles, beautiful birds, and a black squirrel to a snake swimming in the water. Seeing a Momma deer and her baby on our last morning was a perfect end to the trip. We spent peaceful moments watching sunsets and sunrises, and the hot tub under the stars was so relaxing. The owners are a big part of what makes the place special. They visit with everyone and are so welcoming and genuine that you might not even realize they own the place. If you go, Wildseed Farms is a must. On weekends from May through July, don’t miss the Sassy Coot and the Redneck Elevator, they’re such fun. We loved our Christmas visit enough to become members. And be sure to grab some amazing Tex-Mex BBQ at Leroy’s while you’re there. We can’t wait to return.

The only thing I’d change is the shower head. I fell in love with this cabin, and watching deer every day was beautiful. We also enjoyed seeing fish and turtles while spending time by the pond. The hot tub was the perfect way to relax at the end of each day. It’s just the right distance from town, neither too close nor too far. It was the best weekend for my soul, and I’m planning to book again in a few months. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful place with me.

We came away feeling like we’d found ourselves again. The cabin was even better than we’d pictured, and the hot tub made it easy to unwind. We had a lovely weekend in this clean, pretty cabin. It has a cozy rustic feel and is a great spot to relax somewhere quiet. A couple of listing details could be clearer: the guest bed is a sofa bed rather than a queen, and although coffee was there, there wasn’t a filter or some of the other basic breakfast items. Even with that, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
