Days Inn Meadville Conference Center

It was a reasonable place to spend one night for the price, but below what I expected from a Wyndham group hotel. The hotel seemed quiet, and the beds were clean and okay for comfort. The rest of the room didn't seem as clean as it should: there was a dime and paper on the floor and Chapstick by the nightstand. The bathroom fan didn't work.

The staff were friendly and let us check out late since we arrived so late at night. The location is ideal, and parking was convenient. Both the front and back doors locked securely; one opened onto a dirty hallway leading to the parking lot, and the other to a courtyard. The room and bathroom looked clean, even though the old building had a terrible smell that made it feel dirty. The linens and TV were dated, and the bed wasn't comfortable. The old AC worked great, but the shower's hot water lasted only a couple of minutes, so shower fast.

The rate was good, and I can see why it was so cheap. Our first room was marked non-smoking, but the smoke smell gave me a terrible headache. The lady at the desk kindly moved us. We stayed several days, but the room wasn't cleaned on the second day, so I had to ask the desk for more shower towels. The beds weren't made and the room was still dirty. Breakfast was the same each morning, nothing fancy but okay. I probably wouldn't return unless I couldn't afford anything else. Fine for one night, but I wouldn't suggest a longer stay.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend. The room itself was pretty clean, but we weren't happy with the front desk person on Sunday morning. She acted like she didn't want to be there. The booking information didn't say Sunday's breakfast wasn't included, and we also didn't know weekday breakfast ends at 9:30 a.m. Breakfast could use an update. The pool felt kind of sketchy, and the rooms could use fridges.
