Fairfield Inn & Suites Fredericksburg

The breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and courteous. But our stay from Friday to Monday had some serious problems. We had requested an accessible room weeks ahead, but the only accessible option had a king bed and sleeper sofa, which didn't work well for three elderly people with challenges. There was no hot water. The front desk told us to let it run for 15 minutes, but we went the whole stay without showers. Coffee was advertised in the lobby, but it was only there until Monday; they made more, though it was weak. There was also a lot of noise from people upstairs and in the hall.

Sean at the front desk was very helpful, as was Sandra. We had a lovely stay, with good value and a good location, and housekeeping came every day.

Ali at the front desk was a treat. She made sure I got the perfect room and took great care of our party. Best hotel experience I've had.

The staff were curt and inhospitable. A family member caring around the clock for a dying parent had paid for a room, but couldn't use it until after checkout. They asked for a late checkout and explained they just needed a shower, but were flatly refused. This was off-season, and there's no excuse for treating a paying customer that way, especially someone caring for a dying parent. Simply inhumane.
