The Host was quick to answer when we messaged. Rocking Ox worked really well for our big group, and it’s close to town. We enjoyed both the house and the barn house, and had a great stay. Looking forward to coming back!
A nice place for a weekend if you’d rather stay a little outside the busy town. Evenings by the fire and the sunsets were great. There’s a shower, separate bathtub, a neat sink, K-cup coffee maker, microwave, and big fridge with a freezer. The beds are on the firm side, and there are lots of glasses, cups, and plates.
The sunsets were picture perfect, so try to be around for them. This was a really cute, comfortable stay in a very private old German-style property. We relaxed in the barn with nature all around, while still having modern amenities. Town is close, and restaurants and wineries, especially our favorite, Slate Theory, were only minutes away. Highly recommend it.
Really liked our stay. The place felt authentic, and it was cozy, roomy, and comfortable.
All the old rustic things here are my kind of style, and I love the place. The busy road is noisy and too close, though.
