The noise from the road in room 23 was unbelievable. Every bike, truck, and ambulance sounded like it was right in the room, so the complaint I read about it was completely justified. Light was a problem too. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. thinking it was 7 or 8. The rooms were fairly clean and comfortable, and the owners were polite and friendly. At checkout, a woman even changed my $10 note so I could use the vending machine outside. It’s a clean, cheap motel, and I might stay here again, but I wouldn’t choose room 23.

We often stop around Fredericksburg on our way north, but this was our first time at Royal Inn Motel. I’m glad previous reviewers mentioned it, or I might have missed the place. The room was clean, had a mini fridge and microwave, and the location was good.

For a budget motel, the room cleaning really impressed me. They even fixed a toilet that wobbled a little, though I hadn’t complained about it. The place is cheap, clean, and well located. Hard to ask for more.

The room was really clean, especially the bathroom, and I was so impressed. The person who checked us in was very nice and polite. I’ve stayed here year after year for many years, and this visit was especially clean.

The location is decent, but the staff were pretty disrespectful and seemed incompetent. We booked a king room with one bed online for three people, which the site allowed, and had already paid the extra-person fee. Once we arrived, the Indian woman tried to make us change rooms. It left a bad taste. I wish the owner or manager, as she called herself, would know what the listing offers and avoid wasting people’s time.
