Whitetail Court Hotel

The proprietors greet you themselves, and they've made the private cottages both luxurious and practical. You're downtown, but tucked a block back, so everything is close while the cottages stay peaceful. There's a winery next door with live music, but you can't hear it inside. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, and this is among my best experiences. I only had one night here, but I'll return to Fredericksburg knowing I don't need to look elsewhere for luxury lodging.

Marsha and Steve were so friendly and helpful, with good restaurant and winery recommendations and help whenever we needed it. The free ice cream from Austin Street Creamery was a treat at the end of each night. We spent New Year's Eve at Whitetail Court and had a fantastic stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and really comfortable, with thoughtful touches like Italian soap and Turkish bath robes. The gated layout and separate units felt very safe, and the shared outdoor spaces were great. We'd happily stay again on our next Fredericksburg visit.

Right near Main Street, yet the place feels peaceful, secluded, and romantic. There's a nice little wine bar next door with live music, and it doesn't get rowdy. The couple who run the hotel are charming and very accommodating. Everything felt high quality, from the Turkish robes to the Italian shower products. We'll stay here every time we return to Fredericksburg.

The rooms were spotless, updated, and comfortable, and the homemade ice cream on site was delicious. Steve and Marsha were incredibly hospitable. We liked the sheets so much that we asked Marsha if we could buy some. She showed us how she makes the beds and sold us everything we needed to get the same comfortable setup at home. Thanks to Marsha, we've got a sweet bed at home now too.
