Days Inn by Wyndham Freeport

The room was spacious and had a refrigerator and microwave, and the bathroom was roomy too. It was cleaned every day, and I had a pleasant stay. I’d recommend Days Inn Freeport to friends and family.

The area around the property didn’t feel safe, and inside the room there were cockroaches, cigarette butts put out on the walls, and a lingering smoke smell. If you decide not to stay, they won’t refund you and just say your money won’t be returned. This was one of the worst places I’ve stayed, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

We ended up leaving to find another hotel because the air conditioner in our room rattled so much after a while that we couldn’t sleep, but it was too hot to turn off. The front desk person said it had been fixed a day or two earlier and agreed the noise was bad. To her credit, it didn’t make the noise all the time, so it might not have been noticed. She couldn’t move us because every room was full. We hoped that asking someone higher up might get us a refund, but it never came.

The room was clean when I arrived, the front desk staff were friendly, and the central location put a lot of things nearby. The price was cheap, as expected for this kind of hotel, and I stayed three nights. Still, the area felt very sketchy. On my first night, a shirtless guy stood right outside my room for about an hour, talking to someone in the parking lot from the balcony. I was alone and pretty creeped out, so I kept checking through the peephole every few minutes. The shower had almost no water pressure and took ages to get hot. Breakfast tasted gross, even the waffles, and there weren’t many choices or any hot food. The coffee was delicious, though.
