Holiday Inn Express Frisco Legacy Park Area by IHG

The location was wonderful for our cheer competition, and at least the AC worked, lol. The rest of the hotel was really bad. The beds were uncomfortable, and the bathroom was disgusting, with mold around the tub caulking and in a corner of the wall. There was a huge hole in the wall that my six-year-old could have patched better. The tub faucet leaked all night, so I had to listen to the dripping. I couldn’t understand anyone who answered the front desk. The Wi-Fi wouldn’t work, and although the TV remote had a Netflix button, I couldn’t connect the TV to Wi-Fi to use it. This place needs updating.

We booked a group block for a tournament, but our whole group checked out and canceled. The place smelled like raw sewage, and the rooms had holes around the AC units. There were cockroaches, and when staff were confronted, they said they knew about them but that they were only on the first floor. I also found mouse droppings on the tile, and one dresser drawer was completely full of them. The bathrooms had mold. Some rooms assigned to our group hadn’t even been cleaned, with underwear and other belongings from the previous guest still inside. I’m trying to spare someone else this experience.

We won’t come back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place. The bed was hard, the walls and carpet were stained, and there was old standing water in a bathtub that didn’t look like it had been cleaned in a while. The hallways and door looked dirty, and the hallway smelled like sewer. At checkout I told the front desk, and the guy just told me to write a review.

The room had recently been refreshed, but the walls and ceiling were damaged, the elevator was extremely dirty, and the shower was missing body wash. Calls to both the front desk and housekeeping just rang without an answer, so I went downstairs and they fixed it quickly. The room was noisy enough that I didn’t sleep well; I can’t say whether it came from other guests or somewhere else. I also wasn’t greeted as a platinum elite member. That doesn’t matter much to me, though I know it matters to corporate. The hotel is under renovation, and the location, lobby, breakfast area, and breakfast itself were all top class. The overall stay was fine, but lackluster. I’ll stay again for the location and cost, though I’d pick a similarly priced place nearby if there’s a better option.
