Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star

I’ve stayed here three times, usually for about three nights, and I really love this hotel. I get a corner suite, with a spacious room, comfortable bed, and huge tub overlooking outside. I’m recovering from minor surgery, and they’ve been so accommodating. Room service has lots of great options, so I can rest and recover without leaving my room. It’s probably one of my favorite hotels.

A big thank you to Jordan on the management team for helping with my booking. Jordan was willing to assist me twice, and I really appreciate it. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating, which was refreshing. We need more managers who care about their customers. Their efforts make a real difference.

I was here for a conference, not to golf. The property is brand new, and the staff looked after you from the moment you arrive. The lobby bar is incredible, with plenty of room to gather with friends. And the conference breakfast catering was nothing like the usual spread.

We’ve always liked staying at Omni, but the Omni at the Star was a mess over the holidays. It felt like a circus inside and out, which may be good for business, but the lobby setup is awful when people are waiting during check-in or checkout. There’s just one small bench. A few couches in the bar area are marked reserved, and that’s about it. Waiting there with your spouse, four kids, and all your luggage leaves you looking like homeless people up against a wall. Somehow there’s room for two huge Christmas trees and all the holiday decor. Please do better.
