Best Western Plus Gadsden Hotel & Suites

The hot water and breakfast were both fantastic, and it was quiet and clean. Check-in was easy, and the staff were super friendly. I enjoyed my time at the hotel just as much as the reason I was visiting, and I'm definitely coming back!

My suite feels almost like a small apartment, with a foyer, a separate living room and a spacious bathroom. The rooms are LARGE, which matters a lot when you're living here. I've been here for about three months after major storm damage to my house, and after trying several hotels, this is the best one I've found. My office is 45 minutes away, but the 1.5 hr round trip is worth it on the days I have to go in. Another long-term guest I've talked with even stays here when work takes him to Birmingham, despite the two-hour round trip commute. It took me a couple of months to find this place since it's basically in Attalla, but staying here has been so easy and pleasant. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. I've gotten to know the women at the front desk and enjoy chatting with them when I come "home." I'm not the only one who "lives" here, either. Some customers stay often for long stretches because of their work. It's close to what you need, including Walmart, lots of restaurants, a new clean laundromat, and two freeways. The hotel is exceptionally clean and quiet. The owner keeps up the property. They recently did a cosmetic renovation, which I hadn't thought was needed because it already looked fine, but now I agree it improved things. They also upgraded the cable TV and door locks. I thought those were fine before, too, but it's clear the owner takes pride in keeping the place updated and in good shape. I plan to cut down the rest of the trees in my yard because they scare me now, but if I ever have major home repairs again, I'll book here.

The room was nice, and the cleaning staff were amazing. The desk clerks, though, were extremely unfriendly and made guests feel unwelcome. That kind of miserable attitude will cost the place more business than they can imagine.

I booked through booking.com for a relative without thinking about the pet policy, and they had nowhere else for their dog to stay. I contacted the hotel through the app and got a full refund. The desk associate, Bridgette, I think, was very kind. After such a tough day, I really appreciated that service.
