Knights Inn Galax

During a recent blizzard, I booked a room here through agora. I didn't have my license, so my friend made the reservation in her name. When I asked for my money back, they refused. Watch out, I feel like they ripped me off. I'd suggest the motel on Main Street instead. At least they're honest.

The place looks like renovations began in the 60s and never got finished. There's a pink tile sink in the sleeping area and a very industrial-looking commode in the bathroom. The pool has been filled in and turned into a garden. Some rooms seem to be used to store construction debris.

I arrived very late, around 11 pm, and the desk person was very nice. The room was clean, with plenty of towels and soap, and the room staff replaced the towels and added soap each day. The king bed was great, with lots of pillows, and there's a large-screen TV. The view is amazing, and it's very quiet. Bob the manager gave me his card and told me to call when I return. I'm planning another trip in August.

The mattress and sheets stood out during my recent stay at this Knights Inn. The bed was firm without being stiff, and the sheets were much better quality than I'd expect at a motel in this price range. The recently renovated room was in excellent condition, and the bathroom had more than enough towels, which looked brand new. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, well-kept room at a very fair price.
