Matthew took care of all the little anniversary details, including a lovely flower arrangement, a personalized cake, and snack trays each day. We also booked the couples massage, which suited our already very relaxing trip perfectly. The room was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast and snacks were delicious. We loved every moment we spent inside the inn. For our 10th anniversary, my husband and I spent three wonderful nights at Jail Hill Inn. Photos and words don't quite capture the place. Matthew is a generous, hospitable host, and the inn is within easy walking distance of everything downtown Galena has to offer. We'll absolutely return.

The chef-level breakfasts and afternoon charcuterrie trays made us feel thoroughly spoiled. Matthew is a wonderful cook and seems to know just how to make people feel cared for. Our suite had a living area with a kitchenette and fireplace, a spacious bath with lovely linens, a beautiful shower, and a jacuzzi tub that filled from the ceiling. The separate bedroom had a top-of-the-line king bed and bedding. Matthew welcomed us warmly and showed us up to the suite. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary at Jail Hill Inn, and he was marking 10 years since opening this fabulous bed and breakfast. Everything felt just right. A family member has a wedding in Galena in 2027, and we'll book as soon as we know the date. Kind regards, Tim and LyAnn.

The food was a highlight: Matthew made a delicious, exquisite three-course breakfast and brought an afternoon snack tray, while also handling our dietary restrictions beautifully. The rooms were amazing, and you can see the care put into both the accommodations and the service. The building has a cozy charm, too. We've traveled a lot, and Jail Hill Inn is the best place we've ever stayed. Matthew greeted us as soon as we arrived, made us feel at home, and pampered us throughout. This was a stay we'll remember forever. Thanks for taking such good care of us, Matthew. We'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend the inn to anyone looking for a charming, relaxing getaway.

We're already planning to come back again and again. This was our second stay, and Matthew and the Jail Hill Inn made it just as delightful as the first. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, the amenities are wonderful, and both the evening snacks and breakfast were just right. This place earns every five-star review it gets.

Our first bed and breakfast stay turned out perfectly. Matthew was pleasant and full of useful local knowledge, and the food, service, atmosphere, and location were all outstanding. The room was nicely furnished with everything we could need. We'd definitely recommend it.
