Cruisers, beware. We booked several rooms for our whole family and were told months ahead, including on the motel website, that we could leave our vehicles there during the cruise. After checking in, I asked about something to hang in our car windows to show we were cruise customers. That was when they told us we couldn’t leave the vehicles. We’d all been guaranteed we could, and they didn’t make it right. We had to either find another motel or spend THOUSANDS of dollars at the cruise port at the last minute. Since we’d already checked in for the first day, we had to stay that night. The rooms were extremely damp, the carpets were wet, everything smelled of mold and mildew, and there were stains on the sheets. We were also greeted by a cockroach. Thankfully, it was only one night. Another motel saved our family thousands of dollars and let us leave our cars. This visit was February 2025. I still haven’t received a refund for the days we didn’t stay or check in at your hotel. The motel said to go through expedia, and for MONTHS we were sent in circles. Expedia kept saying they couldn’t reach anyone at the motel to confirm the details. It feels like the motel purposely ignores Expedia so it won’t have to lose money on refunds. The rooms are damp, smell moldy, and have cockroaches. The motel and its website lie to get you to book. Don’t book here or through Expedia!

Thousands of birds outside my window sounded like Jurassic apark. We left after 1 night because of the noise and the dirty rooms, and were told we’d get a refund for leaving early. The two rooms had hair on the beds and in the bathrooms, and the water wouldn’t get hot. They also said they’d refund us for those problems, but it’s been 4 months and we still haven’t received anything. Now when I call the front desk, they don’t help. They put me on hold while I’m talking kindly and calmly, then never come back to the line. Beware. They are liars.

The front desk girl with reddish hair and glasses was very sweet, and the lobby and dining area were clean and nice. They had basic breakfast items, and the breakfast area was kept tidy. I’m glad we only stayed 1 night. The room was terrible. It smelled like an ash tray even though the property claims to be “smoke free.” The door was hard to lock and we had to force it. There was no hot water in December, so we all took cold showers, and then the shower water stopped completely. The elevators were scary and parking was ridiculous. My bad for not checking Google reviews beforehand. The reviews on booking.com were much better.

The staff were super nice, and when I had a billing concern, front desk manager Michael treated it like his own and made sure I was satisfied. He even gave me documentation, and the issue worked itself out as he said it would. Management, give Michael a promotion, raise, or bonus. My one bad experience was with the person on the front desk at 430a on 11/01. She was rude, rolled her eyes, and muttered expletives as I walked back to my room. The rooms were better than I expected, with a larger fridge whose freezer actually froze things, plus a microwave and safe. The TV responded well and had the usual channels, options to connect my own Netflix and Prime accounts, Paramount+ w/ Showtime free with commercials, another free app with commercials I can’t remember, and an option to connect Tubi. The other apps were free music or local activity searches. Toilets have pressure tanks and flush powerfully, so don’t worry about eating too much, lol. Breakfast was a real full breakfast until 10am, with yogurt, cereal, bread and toast, drinks, link sausages, eggs, roasted potatoes, biscuits & gravy, and condiments like hot sauce and honey. You can watch the sun rise over the ocean from the breakfast room. It’s on the seawall, and depending on the room and your budget you can have a pool view, ocean view, or maybe face the back. I think the Google ratings are unfair. Sure, it’s technically a motel, but I’ve stayed in “better” places that weren’t as good as this.

Check-in was easy, and the location is great, right on the beach beside a restaurant and grocery store. The issue was the room: it was outdated, had mold in the bathroom, and the walls were so thin we could hear the neighbors talking. The elevators weren’t working. I understand we’re at the beach, but still.
