BeachTree Motel

This place felt seedy and disgusting. I didn’t sleep under the sheets or shower because everything seemed filthy, then threw away the clothes I’d slept in once I reached my destination. I should’ve slept in my car. Other guests had similar rooms, and the response from the front desk to the problems was always “sorry.” There was no toilet paper, towels, or soap, and the room had no A/C, internet, or working TV. A dirty snot towel was in a drawer, and the TV remote belonged to another room. The door was open when I checked in, had gaps all around it, and nobody was at the desk when I checked out. Upstairs, the fence looked like it might fall, so I wouldn’t get near the railing. Did a crime scene happen here? The place should be condemned. It’s supposedly been under new management for over 6 years, but from the other reviews I read, there don’t seem to have been ANY improvements. Go to a chain hotel if you want to feel safe. NO NO NO, go somewhere else!

The parking lot has only about 20 spaces, and it was a problem if you didn’t have a compact car. The person running the place also made a big deal when we asked for an extra pillow for our friend, who had to sleep on the air mattress. The carpet was sticky and gross, and I almost completely lost it. We spent 500 for 2 days. The bathroom soap holder was broken and could have been dangerous if someone slipped on it. The shower had hot water, but the tile grout wasn’t clean, and the sheer curtain looked like it came from a 40 year old smoker’s house. The A.C. worked, but the curtains were so thin that the bright parking lot light shone into our room all night. Fair warning, I would NOT recommend it.

We had a wonderful first family vacation here. It was affordable and the location was perfect, with an empty lot across the street, then Seawall Rd. and a short walk to the beach. The owners were friendly and helpful. It’s not upscale, and there were a few little room issues, but we were only there to shower and sleep. It worked out great for me, my daughter, and the two boys. ❤️❤️❤️

The owner was respectful and really went out of his way to help us feel at home. There’s some construction going on, but the place was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and I got a great night’s sleep. I also felt fine about leaving my vehicle there, without worrying about vandalism. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
