Harbor East Condominiums 414D by Ryson Vacation Rentals

I felt safe staying here, and the layout struck me as just right, with lots of storage and charming character. I’m visiting Galveston TX for the first time and staying in my dear friend’s condo. This particular unit is privately owned, and I can see the couple who own it are making updates with quality choices.

The fire extinguishers had expired in 2018, despite the Fire code. Management's explanation was that they had been left for esthetics. I didn’t buy that, and came away feeling they were careless and indifferent. At first they treated me nicely, but when they saw what I’d found, they became aggressive. Obviously, we had no deal hahaha. The building is visibly and prominently shifting around the doors and windows. I also found black mold in at least three rooms inside the apartment and on the balcony, and none of this was disclosed. From the outside, the place looks like a shiny apple, but it’s rotten inside. There’s also a nest of real estate agents selling or renting each other’s apartments. RUN if you can.

We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back. The place was so welcoming and felt like home, with tons of room for our family of six, four kids and two adults. The layout worked perfectly and everything was very clean. They really thought of everything: pots, pans, things for cleaning, cooking, and washing clothes. The pool was perfect, too. I hope it’s available every year because they’ve got a customer for life. Don’t judge it by the outside, they make up for that once you’re inside. Loved our stay, thank you so much!
