Harbor House Hotel and Marina at Pier 21

DEE DEE DEE! She’s a GEM! If you’re cruising, this is a great place to spend the night before. The hotel sits on the water in the Strand, between three highly rated restaurants, with plenty of breweries, bars, and pubs just a few blocks away. It also has its own parking lot, so you don’t have to hunt for parking.

We could park at this lovely hotel and walk straight to the port with our bags to board the boat. The rooms were nice and a good size, and the service was wonderful. There are also seafood restaurants within easy walking distance. We’d definitely stay here again!

Dee made the stay special with warm, friendly service every day. She consistently went the extra mile, and I was really impressed. We had a beautiful harbor view and loved watching the boats, especially the dolphins. It was wonderful to step outside right downstairs and enjoy the harbor. The room was nice, and breakfast was free, though the options were simple. The biggest problem was the noise. The walls are extremely thin, and you can hear everyone and everything. We could barely hear our own TV over the neighbors. There also wasn’t a way to plug in a Fire Stick or anything for streaming, so if you’re stuck inside, there are very few channel choices. Still, it was a wonderful stay and we’d definitely come back.

Dee, the front desk manager, was AMAZING. Thanks, Dee, see you soon! This was a really nice hotel and an incredible value, though I wouldn’t call it luxurious. It’s in a perfect spot for local shopping and eating. The room had the basic travel trinity: an extremely comfortable bed, a spotless room with climate control, and a great shower with strong water pressure. Parking was a tiny bit tricky, but that’s the only snag I can think of. Nothing ugly here. Will I stay again? ABSOLUTELY.
