Barbara and Dave, the innkeepers, made the stay wonderful. The antique-style B&B has been updated, and the rooms are comfortable and elegantly decorated. It's quiet and peaceful, with a patio and garden and lots of outdoor seating for the evening breeze. There are plenty of amenities, including toiletries, a TV, coffee and tea, drinks and snacks in the hospitality room, and homemade cookies. Breakfast was delicious, like something from a restaurant. The beach and pier are about a 15-minute walk away.

This is my go-to place whenever I'm in Galveston. The owner is second to none, and I had such a pleasant stay. I loved relaxing on the patios and chatting with the other guests over tea or coffee in the lounge and parlor. Everything was taken care of, the rooms were very clean, and the bed was wonderful, which matters a lot to me.

Maria was always smiling, and the hospitality was wonderful. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, and it was nice to avoid a big hotel with kids running around noisily. The beach is an easy walk, past lots of beautiful colonial houses. Our room was a comfortable size and well maintained. The backyard and patio were tidy, with seating and a small fire pit. If you're driving a large vehicle, street parking may be easier. The street is relatively quiet with little traffic.

We borrowed the bikes they offered and rode up and down the seawall. Between that and the family breakfast with the other guests, it was a magical experience. The owner is awesome, and the whole place feels friendly, welcoming, and warm. This will pretty much be our only place to stay when we visit Galveston. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, nice stay on the island.

Only five rooms, so book early. We had a wonderful three-night stay in this beautiful house built in 1890, with exquisite furnishings. Barbara and Dave couldn't have been kinder, and Barbara made amazing breakfasts. I highly recommend it.
