The kitchenette was a real plus, with all the dishes we needed and a little two-burner cooktop we used every day. The TV was huge and swiveled so we could watch from bed or the sectional couch. The beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed our five-day, four-night stay at Residence Inn. I’d stay again in a heartbeat. The beach is across the street, and once the fog cleared we had a stunning ocean view from our third-floor room. Breakfast was good, and the eating area was modern, airy, and spacious. The hot tub was available the first night while the pool was closed, and we could use both for the rest of our stay. I don’t think the pool was heated, which made for some great cold plunges after the hot tub. A grocery store and Walmart were fairly close by. The only snags were slow free WiFi and room service. We asked for the carpet to be vacuumed and tile floors mopped, but something got lost in translation: they tidied the room and restocked supplies, while sand was still everywhere on the floors. Small complaints overall.

They had our room ready when we arrived around 12:30, which was really convenient since check-in is usually at 4. Thanks for the great service. We’ll definitely stay again when we return to Galveston Island.

The breakfast was awesome, with real eggs, and the man working when we checked in was very nice. I think his name was Ozzie. Parking was great, and from our top-floor room we could see the beach. We stayed one night on 12/17/25 before our cruise and had a pleasant visit. I’m very picky and usually clean and wipe down a hotel room before bringing in my bags, but this place was so clean. The whole hotel was clean throughout, and we’ll definitely come back.

A spacious, comfortable room and a great breakfast with lots of options made for a good stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a great spot if you want to be near the water or less than 15 minutes from the cruise ports.

Being just a block from Seawall Blvd made getting around easy, and it kept the road noise down. There are also plenty of nearby amenities. Check-in was quick, and the staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful. Our room was brighter and roomier than I expected, with two windows, and it was clean. Breakfast was the usual mix of hot and cold options. Thanks, Residents Inn by Marriott. I hope to come back to Galveston.
