My favorite spot for a getaway!

Every room comes with an ocean view and a furnished balcony. The Gulf and coastline views are amazing and panoramic.

I’m here now on our second night. The lobby is beautiful, but the plush carpet is hard to push a wheelchair across. The valet was very nice, though we haven’t used it because the wheelchair ramp is dangerously steep. Instead, we take the elevator down to the bottom floor and leave through the back. The pool looks gorgeous and the views are beautiful. The balcony door lock in our room was tricky enough that we had to call the front desk to learn how to use it. With kids, I needed to lock it for safety. You have to lift the handle all the way and turn the lock at the same time. The bistro was decent, but there were no directions for getting a wheelchair inside. Staff saw us and didn’t offer help or even greet us until we’d made it up the stairs. The grotto, on the other hand, was delicious and its staff were wonderful. Bring your own water. They provide only two complimentary bottles for the whole stay, and plain bottled water costs $4.22 each after tax. The receipt also has a spot for a tip. Most hotels give each guest a complimentary bottle daily. The disposable coffee cups by the in-room coffee maker aren’t replaced daily either, so I guess you get only two for the whole stay. The room is very dated. The tile is cracked, carpet is lifting, and the shower doesn’t drain properly. By the end of a shower, water is over my ankles, leaving about four inches standing in the tub each time. It takes a while to drain.

The atmosphere, service, and accommodations all made this a memorable stay. Everything was excellent, 100/100.
