We checked in May 2, 2025 for one night, but ended up charged for two stays, on the 5th and 6th, neither of which was the night we’d stayed. The hotel is very dated and needs some TLC. The poor customer service should’ve tipped us off. After I left several voicemails starting Monday, it was nearly impossible to reach anyone. The woman finally said she’d call Friday, but never did, so I called her. She asked me to send proof of the duplicate charges. After I sent it, she texted that her records showed only a charge on the 5th, nothing on the 4th, and that I must be mistaken. I hadn’t said anything about the 4th. I told her the charges were on the 5th and 6th. I had to go through my bank, which is filing it as a fraudulent charge. Mistakes happen, but trying to convince me I made the mistake is too much. Be very careful staying here.

My first cruise was made easier by the staff, who told me where to park. The hotel has free continental breakfast, and you can stay the night before sailing, then leave your car there for the week. I did, and it felt safe, with people driving back and forth to the port. There were no cruise parking safety issues. Just get a packing slip from the hotel staff so your car doesn’t get towed. They also offered a private shuttle to the terminal, and the woman in charge was super sweet. The ride and stay both went smoothly. The room was spacious, very clean, and the A/C worked well. No bed bugs. The bad reviews aren’t true at all, in my experience. It’s a great choice for a night before a cruise and free parking. I highly recommend checking it out.

The room and the check-in both left a bad impression. We paid cash, but the woman at the counter said she couldn’t give us a receipt because of that. I told her the payment method didn’t matter and asked again; she wrote the amount we’d paid on a piece of paper. She also couldn’t work out our change at first. After we carried our bags up to the third floor, we found a dirty room. I went back to the office, and she said she hadn’t checked the board to see which rooms were clean. She gave us keys to the next room, where the made bed and appearance suggested it was clean. We’d booked two nights, but around 10 the next morning, while taking a nap after our sleep schedule had been off, a man walked into our room and said we’d missed checkout and should’ve left by 11. I told him to check the system. Walking into a room without checking first made us feel we had no privacy. Breakfast was frozen waffles from a freezer with a toaster, plus a gallon each of orange juice and apple juice. The place was poorly kept, with little upkeep or repair. The ceiling looked like it had been leaking for a long time, with patch jobs and sagging drywall over the bed. You could only use the shower, not the tub, because of the diverter. There were outlets by the bed on only one side, chipped paint on the doors, dead batteries in the TV remote, and tarps on the roof with their outlines still visible. There had been no updates. We won’t return. Our stay was January 24-26, 2025. I’d like the owners or management to contact me.

I called today to ask about staying here before my next cruise. Todd was great on the phone and gave me lots of useful information about the motel and the cruise shuttle, which costs $10 per person. I forgot to ask whether we need to bring a car seat for the shuttle. He also suggested a place for supper. I can’t wait to stay here.

We found this to be a really good deal, especially with cruise parking included and a shuttle available for an extra charge. Most tourist spots were only a 5-15 minute drive away. The hotel is older and not as updated as some others nearby, but it’s clean, cozy, and well kept. Staff were amazing: they let us check in early and, when our cruise was delayed, gave us a late checkout. The negative reviews don’t match our experience.
