Surf Motel and Apartments

Would highly recommend only if you don't mind an old lady in pajamas telling you, by her own choice, that your stay has been moved to the following day. They need new people, I don't know how they're in business. Literal trolls. Trust me, it'd be a 0 if that were possible.

The owners were so, so nice, but the room definitely wasn't. It smelled bad, wasn't clean, and dirt was piled in all the corners. The blankets felt kind of sticky, and everything was old and needed a lot of updating. The hot water at the sink wouldn't come on, and the maintenance people need to do better. The shower was pretty nice, at least. But the bathroom mirror looked like it was about to fall off, and the curtain was disgusting, like it hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. Despite how nice the people were, this isn't a place I'd choose to stay.

The customer service was awful. Most of the time, the family wasn't at the front desk, and ringing a bell wasn't an option because there was no one to come out. I was locked out of my room for 4 hours and couldn't find anyone who could unlock it. They also run the liquor store next door, so get used to hearing them move inventory back and forth. It was noisy and woke my boyfriend and me every morning. You can't bring animals, yet they openly feed several stray cats on the property. They still haven't returned my $100.00 incidental fee even though none of it was used. Scammers. This place needs to be shut down.

The office staff seemed unconcerned about both the mold and the fridge that leaked and wouldn’t shut. There were also people lingering by my door and window. The room was cramped and old, with a moldy smell; one bed had dirty sheets, and two mold patches on the ceiling looked like they’d just been painted over. My child became sick from the mold, so I left before my stay was over. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
