Budget Inn and Suites

We booked two nights and tried to cancel the second, but they wouldn’t do it. I know the policy gives them the right to refuse a refund, though they could choose to make an exception. The room was filthy, so I’d look for lodging somewhere else in the area. Not recommended, you’ve been warned.

The train tracks are right next to the hotel, and it was very loud inside. If you need a good night’s sleep, this isn’t the place. The second floor hallways also had a very strange smell. After an argument and back and forth at the front desk, they finally accommodated my service animal. The staff need to learn that a service animal means a service animal. The room was dirty, with dirt along the walls and small dead bugs. It was clear they hadn’t spent much time vacuuming. The chair was covered in white stains, and I didn’t want to sit on it. The outside-facing window was cracked. Both the carpet and sheets were stained too. I spend around $30,000 a year on hotel rooms, and this was one of my worst experiences. I’m utterly surprised Google rates it at 4 stars. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I only stayed because of the hurricane and had no other choice, and I deeply regret it. There was mold, missing sections of sheet rock that I didn’t get a photo of, stains everywhere, and an awful smell. The staff bothered me even with the do not disturb sign on the door. It’s definitely not worth the price. They don’t refund you if the power goes out for half the day, which should be a crime. Awful and filthy. I’d never come back, and I wouldn’t stay here.

I was driving on the road and too tired to keep going, so I needed a hotel for the night. I was too tired to complain, and used my own blanket and pillow because I assumed they don’t change the sheets as they should. The bathroom was dirty, with hair and stains on the toilet and sinks. The floors were dirty too, and the halls and elevators smelled of mold. The towels were wet. The attendant wasn’t at the desk either. You have to ring a phone and wait for them to come up front. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
