The beach access and location are great, and the beds were comfortable. Still, some of the staff felt sketchy to me, and I saw a few people who seemed to be watching me. There were random characters sitting outside on a beach bench, and with a first floor room, I didn’t feel comfortable. The bed frame was like a hollow metal cabinet, almost lol, and moved whenever we did. The internet cut out a lot, and we had to keep reconnecting. It’s a great place if you won’t be sleeping much. It wasn’t my worst experience, but I’ll look harder next time.

such a good find for the price, clean and spacious. Lunchbox at the front desk is awesome and honestly made the stay. the beds are comfy and the view’s great. i’ll come back to see my girl lunchbox whenever i get the chance!!

The beach just behind The Garden City Inn was beautiful and pristine. My wife and I had a great weekend there. Our ground-floor efficiency room was clean and comfortable, and the desk staff were polite and helpful. We’d stay again.

A good deal, especially with the hotel right on the beach. The rooms were very clean, and though the building is older, it’s still in nice shape. The front desk clerks could be a bit friendlier and more proactive.

The view, location, clean room, and friendly staff were all big pluses. I was especially impressed by the bedding. After staying in dozens of hotels around the country, I’ve never had sheets that felt cleaner, fresher, or crisper. The room itself was immaculate, and the owners have done a wonderful job keeping an older property from feeling its age. There’s no elevator access, and breakfast isn’t offered. The convenience store next door was ridiculously expensive, though that’s what you get for buying snacks and drinks nearby instead of bringing your own or driving to a grocery store. We were there over Labor Day weekend, so the holiday markup was tremendous. Even so, I was amazed by the motel and very thankful for how well it’s been maintained. 👍🏾🏆👍🏾🏆👍🏾
