The beach is right across the street, basically a very short walk, and the location turned out better than I expected. The rooms and bedrooms were good, if a bit outdated, though the second bedroom was small. If guests are expected to keep the AC at 72-74, I’d suggest adding ceiling fans to the bedrooms. There was only one in the living room, and even with it on high, we had to sleep with the doors open to stay cool. Parking larger vehicles was very difficult, and more spaces for them are badly needed. Overall, nice rooms and a great beach area, but be aware of the parking.

We planned this as a mother-daughter trip to celebrate my daughter graduating high school, and I’m still unsettled by the filth. Our first unit reeked of marijuana and cigarettes, and everything felt greasy. I wrapped myself in my blanket to avoid touching things. The bed was hard and the pillows felt like concrete. Check-in wasn’t onsite, so I had to wait until morning to reach anyone. Jim came right over and moved us to a better unit, but it was still unclean. One day “housekeeping” arrived a day early. It was a man with no cleaning supplies, fresh linens, or anything. Check-out instructions say to leave the linens on the bed, which makes me think the sheets aren’t changed. The noise was almost unbearable at times, though after staying in such filth, that felt less important. I didn’t use the pool because it had a green tint, and after the unit’s condition I figured it was unsanitary too.

Our one-bedroom apartment was clean, well laid out, and had the basics for cooking. The location in Garden City was great, just across the street from the beach. Unfortunately, the TV sound was scratchy, so we couldn’t enjoy it while winding down.

The rooms were clean and nice, and the AC worked great. It was convenient for getting around the beach, and the pool was nice too. The maintenance guy was cool. Highly recommend!
