We were in town for a basketball tournament and wanted to stay somewhere separate from the team. The location was easy to find, and the front desk staff member was kind. We had a reservation hiccup, but she worked with us to sort it out. Our bed was really comfortable, and the room had a microwave and mini fridge. The building is undergoing structural repairs, with scaffolding currently holding up the second-floor walkway.
The rooms are a little outdated, but they're clean and not bad. The people are really nice, the rates for pilot car drivers are good, and it's close to work. This is my go-to place when I'm in Garden City.
Hair and crumbs were in the beds, the carpets hadn't been vacuumed, and we had to change rooms several times. When I went to shower, the towels were stained and had hair on them. There was feces splattered on the bathroom floor, and the curtains had mold growing on them. This was the nastiest hotel I've stayed at, and I wouldn't recommend it.
Finding the place was tricky since it's behind a Mexican restaurant. The room matched the website photo, and we got friendly service, a clean room, and a super comfy bed. My husband wasn't impressed with the shower, saying it wasn't made for anyone over 5'2". Breakfast bags are available by asking the front desk clerk; they have a banana, Danish, bottle of OJ, and granola bar.
We booked on short notice, but the price was outrageous for what we got. The room was tiny and the sheets were dirty. Moths had us sleeping with blankets over our heads. On an upper level, half the concrete balcony was missing, and what was left felt very unstable. Breakfast was just a lunch bag. I wish I could've gotten a refund.
