The little cabin was such a nice surprise. It felt homey, and it was very clean and quiet. We’d happily stay there again and recommend it. The couple also runs Backcountry Bistro, which was just as clean and welcoming. We’d eaten at a few places in Gardner, and their meal was the best one we had. Kudos to them!

We had a really nice stay in a clean, cozy room, and being right outside Yellowstone made the price feel worth it, even though it was a bit high. Parking is tight, though the town is small. The first two days, the Wi-Fi was pretty unreliable, then it worked much better on Sunday, just in time for us to watch our church livestream. The room was fairly quiet, but the neighbor’s TV sits right behind the beds and can get loud. Running the fan helped cover the sound.

After a long day of hiking and exploring, the comfortable bed made it easy to unwind. We only stayed one night, and the room was spotless, with nice linens and tasteful furnishings. I did wish there’d been a small table and chairs, but it wasn’t a big deal for a single night. I’d stay here again if I’m back in the area.

The location is hard to beat, just a block from Yellowstone’s North entrance and an easy walk to several restaurants. I spent eight days at the 406 Lodge and loved it. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, newly furnished and well equipped, with nice decor. The owners were great. I even saw them right outside my door one day when I got back from the park. I think this is the best place to stay.

I really liked the view of Electric Peak from the terrace, and getting to Yellowstone was so easy. The owners and staff made it clear they wanted to be helpful. Our room was extremely clean and decorated beautifully. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at The 406 Lodge, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone staying in Gardiner.
