Ozarka Lodge Eureka Springs

We left after a couple of hours, having sat outside the room the whole time and not even touched the beds. The power was out, and staff had no idea when it would return. The front desk woman hadn’t run my card because of the outage, but still refused a discount or refund. She was rude, and to make things worse, three other guys were given the same room as my husband and me even though we got there first. The room was filthy. The bed skirt had blood stains, and the inside of the microwave was disgusting. I’m a housekeeper, so cleanliness stands out to me, and this wasn’t clean at all. A horrible experience from start to finish.

The bathroom was the standout for me. Its modern sink and counter gave us useful space, and the bright tile and bathtub were clean. You don’t always get a bathroom this clean and modern, even at a chain like Best Western.

This older place is affordable, with comfortable beds and pillows, very clean bathrooms, a great pool and top-notch service. The manager also honored the online price without making me book through bookings.com. I’d come back when I’m traveling without my pup. The breakfast is very simple, and it doesn’t start until 7:30, so I’d look elsewhere for breakfast. Road noise is a downside, and it isn’t pet friendly. The AC, coffee pot, fridge and microwave all worked perfectly.

The owners are really nice, and the rooms are very clean. It’s far enough from the busy area to feel quieter, but still close enough to walk.
