The rooms were nasty and infested with roaches, and the staff and location were horrible. It’s cheap, but they’ll make something up to keep your $50 deposit. There were homeless people walking around at night and people selling drugs outside in the parking lot. Don’t stay here unless going cheap is all you care about.

They’ll kick you out for refusing housekeeping just once. The place is full of roaches, and management and staff are very rude. I’ve also noticed that whenever someone leaves a bad review, the owner says they never stayed there, which is a red flag from the start. I wish I hadn’t spent my money on this nasty place.

The one thing I’d change is the pool being inaccessible. I know it’s not swimming weather yet, but the pool is enclosed. Otherwise, I’ve had a positive experience. They offer discounts for extended-stay residents, and it’s nice coming home from work to a made bed with a clean cover. It’s quiet, and I haven’t noticed drug traffic, though I’m not looking for it. From what I can tell, they go out of their way for guests. Thanks for recognizing customer service and amenities.

The Kingsley Inn has an indoor pool, and I saw no bed bugs. My room’s carpet and floorboards were clean. There’s a beer store and taco shop next door, plus a 24-hour Waffle House in the same parking lot. The basic outdoor washers and dryers cost $2 per load to wash and dry, and they’re big enough to fit about three loads at once. Housekeeping was great and left me alone, and staff didn’t bang on my door at 10:59. The office managers were friendly, which you don’t always get at low-rate motels. Rooms include smoking, non-smoking, and jacuzzi options, with the jacuzzi rooms fairly priced. It’s usually around $60 a night, though sometimes they charge more, so you have to be firm and hand them that cash. Walk-ins and bookings through Priceline or Hopper don’t require a deposit. I’d recommend it for an inexpensive unplanned overnight, or if you’re okay with the costly weekly rates.

By day three, the showerhead had broken, and on day four the TV quit working completely. I reported problems as they came up, but the responses from the three people at the desk were nearly identical and didn’t help. Management was almost always missing, which might matter less if the front desk were useful. One older man could list every hotel nearby but couldn’t help with this one; a tall, quiet woman was just as unhelpful but a little kinder; and a younger woman would recite the Inn’s policies and stick to them. Day one was quiet. On day two, housekeeping took my breakfast and two bags of chips. I napped and woke up surrounded by bugs. My advice is to bring bug spray, don’t leave food unattended in your room, and pay $65 for a whole week rather than a single night. That might make the stay worth the money.
