The front desk worker suggested Suka Sushi, and it was excellent. We wished we had one near home. There are restaurants and a Walmart just one exit away, about a five-minute drive, which also kept the hotel area quiet. Our room was quiet even though it was near 95, and it was clean with no odd smell and a nice bathroom. The fridge was already cool, and both it and the microwave worked well. The A/C was quiet too. There were plenty of USB charging spots, regular outlets, and lights, plus a comfortable sofa and sitting area. We found a very good rate on the Wyndham website, and the $15 pet charge wasn't bad.

I make the Raleigh trip from Virginia every month, and I'll definitely stay here again. The price was just right, and even at 3 a.m. the front desk clerk greeted me promptly. Both the lobby and room were immaculate. I've stayed in all kinds of places, but this was the cleanest and quietest stay I've had. The furniture and bathroom were clean, with no stains or cigarette burns, and the room door didn't look like it had been battered in before. There was even framed artwork on the wall, which made the room feel welcoming. The large TV had a working remote with its battery cover, and there was a mini fridge, microwave, clean desk, couch, and coffee table. Great stay, I'll be back.

The man at the counter came over to check on us, and he was really nice. We were traveling down the coast with friends and just needed somewhere to shower and sleep for the night. I was worried at first about cigarettes, roaches, and bedbugs, but was pleasantly surprised. It isn't the Four Seasons, but it gave us what we needed and was clean enough, with no sign of bugs. They even offered us a smoking or non-smoking room. For $84, it suited us well. Breakfast was included the next morning. It was limited, but they had waffles, cereal, bagels, and fruit. This was the best Super 8 right over the Virginia and South Carolina border.

The only real plus was the ample parking, and we got a spot right in front of our room. The area was mostly quiet, but if light bothers you, bring a sleep mask because the curtains let in a lot. I won't set foot on this property again. I saw four rooms, including ours, and they were all dirty in different ways, so I don't believe the other cleanliness reviews. Ours smelled musty, like it hadn't been cleaned in 20 years. The bathroom tub, toilet, and sink were dirty, there was an opened toilet paper roll, and hair was everywhere, even on the bed. My mother-in-law had to ask for supplies and clean her room herself because no cleaners were available, and she told them she expected a discount. We'll see whether she gets one. The front desk guy did offer to move me, which was nice, but the three other rooms I saw were also dirty, so I stayed in the one I'd paid for. We paid over $100 for one room, which is ridiculous. It was worth maybe $10, and really they should pay you since you'll have to clean it. Some outlets and charging connections didn't work, the phone to call the front desk was unplugged with no cord around, the door was hard to close as if damaged, and the AC was terrible. The bathroom was the worst part for me, so I added toilet pictures. I can't comment on breakfast yet because we haven't eaten, but given the condition of the room and the other reviews, I don't have much hope. This was the closest place to the track, but when we arrived after 1 a.m. it was very cold. I nearly slept in the car and considered going somewhere else.

After a long day driving, the room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was quick: I grabbed a hot waffle and coffee and was back on 95 in minutes. I happened upon this Super 8 while driving from Fl to MA, and it worked out as the perfect halfway stop.
