Best Western Gas City

The check-in clerk was kind and efficient, and she even helped with a small extra request. Parking was easy to access. But the room was a letdown, and I feel I wasted points I'd earned over many weeks of stays. There was hair in the shower, under the sink, and on the floor by the tub. The wall above the shower insert was damp and soft, apparently from water damage, the showerhead sprayed sideways because it was old and in disrepair, and the bathroom had a badly patched spot in the drywall. One of the queen beds squeaked loudly as its metal frame shifted around. The AC/heat unit was also missing its outlet cover, which seemed like a serious fire and safety hazard. Breakfast had far fewer choices than at other BW places I've stayed. I've usually had really good experiences with Best Western, as my 12,000-plus points show, so this was my least desirable stay. I didn't bring up the problems with staff, since in my experience doing that doesn't lead to any resolution. Disappointing.
