Holiday Inn Express Charlotte West - Gastonia by IHG.

We paid $125 for our stay, and the price was cheap. The breakfast was awesome, and there was a nice little indoor pool. The cars outside made some noise, but we slept through it. If you're sensitive to noise, bring a sound machine. Nice hotel, and the hot breakfast can't be beat.

We found this Holiday Inn Express on our way home, conveniently just off Route 85. The gated property and brightly lit lot felt good, and Sunshine gave us a warm welcome at 8pm. We didn't have a reservation, but she made check-in easy. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a great bed, a complimentary bottle of water, and air and heating units that actually worked well. It's a no-smoking facility, which is great if you're sensitive to smoke. The bathroom needed attention: the hand soap dispenser was empty, and the tub and floor felt a little slippery, as if they needed a good scrub. Towels were clean and plentiful. Breakfast staff were cheerful and warm. Antony did an amazing job keeping everything in hand, and Sunshine was bright and cheerful early in the morning. Demise greeted us with a great smile and made checkout easy. When I mentioned the bathroom, he addressed it right away. Before this, we spent our vacation at a conference center that cost twice as much, and this Holiday Inn Express outshone it. We'll definitely return.

We had a pretty big event at the hotel, and the staff handled us and all our needs beyond expectations. The place was amazing all around, with incredible staff. It's one of the cleanest IHG hotels I've stayed at in a long time. ❤️

The room is clean, and Ms Sandra was so sweet and accommodating at check-in. She was phenomenal. My only complaint is that we can hear a lot through the window, though that's due to the location, not the staff.
