The hotel was loud from all the construction, with constant drilling, hammering and sawing, and nothing seemed to work. The woman serving breakfast yelled at people for taking food, took away the butter and said guests had used too much. At the front desk, Gail was rude and angry all the time. Nasty behavior seemed to be a theme here. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time.

We’ve stayed here regularly and always enjoyed the hotel, so it’s sad that one front desk employee made this visit so unpleasant. The woman with glasses and shoulder-length hair was rude and obnoxious to all of us at check-in. Later, I heard her speaking badly about another customer to a coworker in the lobby, without seeming to care who could hear. I’ve never complained about a desk worker before, but she really needs to be fired.

The staff at check-in were welcoming and friendly. The hotel feels a bit dated, though, and you’ll need to bring your own charging block for the outlets. There’s no freezer compartment in the fridge. The washer and dryer cost $2 each and might be useful for a small load if you really need them. If you want to watch a movie, be patient with the signal.

The two people at the front desk were on their phones the whole time and came across as really unprofessional. After we arrived, before we’d even put our things down, we got a noise complaint. The next night, just before 8 pm, a man came banging on the door and told me to settle my children. They’re 4, 2, and 1, and can’t even open the front door to slam it. He said he’d call the authorities if I didn’t get them under control. I could understand that at midnight, but it was barely 8 pm. If children aren’t welcome, that should be stated when people make reservations. The way he spoke to me was rude and disrespectful. I’ll never stay here again and will tell people to avoid it.
