The staff were really helpful with information about the shuttle and the area, and I’d stay again. The location is great, a short walk from the strip, and the free shuttle stops right out front. We liked hearing the stream through the balcony door and window, and there’s a small river running through town. We only tried the small breakfast buffet once during our five days. It doesn’t open until 8 am, and we wanted to be out exploring by then. Since it was off season, that opening time made sense. Burnt logs from previous guests were left in the fireplace and gave the room an odor unlike a real fire. It wasn’t bad enough that we asked to have it cleaned. The one thing I’d change is adding a small table and a couple of chairs, so there’s somewhere to use a laptop, eat takeout, or play cards with my wife after hours.

We’ve stayed here on and off for more than 20 years. The grounds are always kept up, the creek and balcony are things I love, and the breakfast gentleman does one hell of a job. The daytime office ladies are very nice and personable. It’s not bad for the money, and the location is excellent. They’ve tried updating the rooms, but ours had a musty smell, like it had been cleaned with a dirty, spoiled mop. I just wish the rooms were updated a little better.

The river behind the hotel was so peaceful to listen to at night, and the place has several spots where you can sit and take in the surrounding mountain scenery. We spent our honeymoon in the Honeymoon Suite, and it was extremely peaceful. The free public transportation, the trolley system, is close by. Everyone was sweet, with friendly staff. We had an amazing honeymoon, highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious, with a great balcony looking out over the river, and breakfast was great. I loved the smart choice of waffle and pancake makers. The hotel is right by the trolley, which takes you downtown for free. At check-in, we got complimentary drinking water and apples.

It’s quiet since it’s outside downtown, and there’s a creek behind the building to enjoy from the balcony. The price was great, and I’d stay again. The first room they gave us needed work, but they quickly moved us to a better one.
