Creeksong 4 Br cabin by RedAwning

The creek behind Creeksong was wonderful, and we loved relaxing on the back porch by its nice fireplace. The cabin has potential, but I was VERY disappointed. I've rented from Elk Springs Resort before and was completely satisfied, so I had no hesitation renting from them again. This cabin doesn't meet their standards. It needs serious updating and a proper cleaning. The bedding looked old and dingy, like it had been washed a thousand times, so I washed it because I couldn't tell whether it was clean or just worn out. The bathroom towels were old and all different colors. The bedroom carpets need a good cleaning, and the furniture and appliances need updating. The house feels cluttered, not like a vacation rental. I know these cabins are privately owned, but who wants to see pictures of the owners' families in their cabin? It's 20 minutes up 321, far from the attractions. There are four king bedrooms, but only one has a TV, and it's so small you can barely see it. It looks 20 years old, with a big back, and they mounted it on the wall. The dishwasher was full of ants. Disgusting. If the owner spent some money on updates, packed away personal belongings, and cleaned properly, it could be really nice. Until then, the next guests will leave the same kind of review.
