The room could use some work, especially the old carpet that looks like it dates back to the 1980s, and the bathroom felt dated too. It seemed clean, though, and the customer service was excellent. Being right downtown made it easy to walk almost everywhere. For the price it was fine, but I probably wouldn't return.
We'd stayed here before without trouble, but this visit was a letdown. Both rooms smelled moldy, the TV and fridge didn't work, and the bathroom sink was so low it seemed meant for little kids. We asked to move, but there were no other rooms. The desk clerk said she'd let someone know about the mold, though I don't know if she did. We were stopping on the way home from Florida. Sorry, but I won't be back. They need to make more updates.
My sister said it was the worst room she'd ever had, and when she asked to switch, they wouldn't let her. We ended up checking out early after a really bad stay in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. There was no breakfast on January 3, even though breakfast was meant to be included every day with the booking. They could have waited to renovate until after the Christmas season. We dealt with an overflowing bathroom, leaking toilets, cockroaches, dirty towels, limited parking at night, poor breakfast, and no customer service. The hotel was very expensive for the room and service. I paid the same amount in Orlando for four-star hotels with very good service. This place wasn't worth even $50. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, and I should have paid more attention to the bad reviews. Never again.
The location was the only good part. Our room was serviced by maids only every three days, and if you needed extra towels or anything else, you had to go to the front desk. The room itself was King-sized, but the bathroom was tiny. The tub kept the door from opening all the way, so you couldn't sit on the toilet with the door open. If you're pregnant, you won't fit through that doorway. The outdoor pool was small enough that around four people would crowd it. It was awkwardly set in the middle of the parking lot, though at least it was fenced in.
The shower had great pressure, and I liked the bathroom mirror. It's also in a great spot near the start of the strip. But the beds were extremely hard, and the wall controls made it difficult to adjust the room temperature. I'd stayed here before and came back, then found out they'd stopped serving breakfast. Nothing said that when I booked, or I would have picked somewhere else.
