We loved staying at this cabin and would be glad to come back. It felt homey and had excellent hospitality, while still being secluded without feeling remote.

I booked because the reservation said payment was due on arrival, but almost $200 came out of my account the very next day. The property said they couldn’t do anything and sent me to Booking.com, even though they had taken the money. Booking.com told me the property had created the charge, not them. It’s under investigation, and now I have to sort it all out and try to get my money back. Absolutely ridiculous.

We paid $850 a night for a six-bedroom “luxury” cabin in Pigeon Forge. Our family goes every year, so we’ve stayed in enough cabins to compare. The place was nice, but the bugs were a real problem. We spent the first hour vacuuming up live and dead ones, and kept dealing with them throughout our four-day stay. For that price, the amenities disappointed us. The WiFi barely worked, the “HD” TVs were dated and small, and everything felt hillbilly cheap. We wanted to enjoy ourselves without focusing on the cost, but I regretted choosing this cabin. We’ll be back next year, but not to Life’s a Bear, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
