It was a decent stay. The door code was hard to remember, so I had to keep checking the text for it. I’d rather have a passkey or regular key. The room had basic supplies, soap for the shower but no shampoo, and a coffee machine with no coffee supplies. There was a dishwasher packet, which seemed odd since there was no dishwasher, unless only the maids could access one. As far as I know, nobody checked on the room, since nothing had been disturbed. It was okay overall.
The price seemed decent for what you get, but we’ve just arrived and I’m already thinking we may regret staying. The room is very musty, and the couch is so broken down that we have to prop up the cushions with pillows to make it tolerable. There’s only 1 knife and the kitchen is bare-bones. Bring your own coffee. The place is totally outdated, and I’m sneezing like crazy. I have a mold allergy, so you can guess what I suspect. I knew I should’ve booked a cabin.
We had a great time in unit 610. We rented it on Air bnb for February 6th-13th, 2026, and our hosts were very communicative. The room was clean and walking to the Gatlinburg strip was easy. There are elevators, plus a laundry room on the first floor with a decent price per load and an ice machine room on that floor too. 💜
The plentiful hot water and strong pressure were about the only clear positives in unit 109. This was a last minute Labor Day getaway, and we won’t be back. By the entrance, there was an old bed frame dumped in a hole. It was easy to get into the room, and the first thing we noticed was a wet, damp, musty smell. We tried to make the best of it and brought in our luggage, but then saw that vertical blind slats were missing, so anyone by the pool could look into the room. The kitchen sink was gross, and the blender and frying pan were deplorable (see pics). Every surface had a thick coat of dust. There were hairs on the bathroom walls and ceiling. The toilet was very low to the floor, definitely not ADA compliant, though I don’t know whether that’s standard. It also used a ton of water for no reason. We couldn’t really unpack in the bedroom. The closet had the water heater, extra pillows, and a tray table, with no room for our things. We thought the antique wardrobe might work, but it had only a few hangers, a dorm-size ironing board, some paint, very little space, and a bad smell in its small drawers. We didn’t want to put anything in it. We used the dresser on the other side of the room for dirty clothes and kept our luggage mostly packed. The bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. We considered moving the mattress to the living area, but the missing blind slats meant no privacy, and we didn’t want to sleep on the pull-out couch either. The bedroom could use more lighting too, since the two small dusty lamps weren’t enough. The smoke detector was on the dresser when we arrived. We didn’t test it, but checked its date because it looked outdated. I can’t speak for other units, but I definitely do not recommend this one.
The place feels spacious and cozy, almost like a small apartment, with a separate bedroom, small kitchen, and nice Smoky Mountain decor. The downside is that rooms on the back have no balconies. There was black mold along the top of the shower, and the whole room smelled musty.
