Pine Tree Lodge - Eight Bedroom Cabin

The location is fantastic, but we had a terrible stay with our high school girls' soccer team over the weekend of 8/23-8/25 2004. After the first night, the girls upstairs woke up with bed bug bites. The cabin contact was no help, and nothing was done to make things right. We moved everyone downstairs, stripped the beds, and searched for other affected spots ourselves. It seems like bed bugs may be an ongoing problem here, and it hasn't been resolved. I wouldn't recommend staying. Book at your own risk, and sleep tight.

There was room for all 24 of us, and apparently for plenty of bed bugs too. I never expected to spend a day cleaning clothes and spraying and scrubbing luggage, backpacks, blankets, and pillows while helping people relocate. Management dragged its feet, so we had to handle everything ourselves. Thankfully, the 19 teens and 5 adults dealt with it well and didn't let it ruin their spirits. Definitely don't recommend.

Our soccer team had stayed here for years without trouble, but after this visit, never again. The rooms had bedbugs, and looking back at the reviews, it seems to be a recurring problem management won't address. We called and got the runaround, and they didn't seem concerned about losing our business. There was a bedbug review in June, yet we stayed in August and still found them. We hadn't checked the recent reviews because our earlier stays were fine. Whoever runs the place now is letting it go downhill. There are cleaner places to stay.

We found bed bugs in several rooms this weekend and had to find somewhere else to stay. Management asked us to prove it, so we sent several photos of the bugs and bites. Replies were very slow, and we weren't compensated for the room, cleaning 20 people's belongings, or the disruption of having to clean the property ourselves. Find somewhere else.
