Ski Mountain Lodge

No front desk here, just communication by text and email. Our room was ready early, too. It's right off the strip and quiet!! Definitely older, but nice.

The room was small, but the bed and everything else were clean. For the price it was fine, apart from the smell and the air conditioner. In room 102, the old unit cools well but is so loud, like a tractor running. There was also a strong damp or moldy smell. We bought an air freshener, but they should open the windows or doors to let the sun in, which might help the smell go away. The WiFi never worked, and they didn't reply to my messages asking about it.

The location suited us, with fresh mountain air and a stream next to the lodge. We liked the room's feel and the shower pressure, and we did our laundry there too. The staff and cleaning lady were kind, and the price fit our budget. The manager said they're remodeling the lodge and will have food and music soon. Thank you, Brant & Tess.

I filled out the check-in form in advance and got several messages confirming the stay, room number, and door code. But as we were taking our things from the car, the manager asked which room we had. When I told him, he said, "Not anymore," explaining there was a sewer issue and he'd closed the whole block of rooms. He said we'd get a full refund. It never came. When I followed up, I was told to contact Booking.com, even though the manager had said he'd process it right away and I didn't need to do anything. Booking.com said the property hadn't responded to confirm that a refund was warranted.
