Summit Manor Condominiums

The cabin is roomy and in a great location, but it needs better upkeep and management. There weren't any pots or pans, so I had to buy basic cookware for the week. I complained about that and the living room lights, but nothing was done. They did bring a skillet eventually, though it looked like it had come from the trash, worn and scratched. The living room ceiling fan and lights didn't work, and the bathroom hair dryer was broken. There weren't enough towels, and the ones provided weren't very good. The wood floors had been cleaned with something that left them sticky and turned your feet black if you walked barefoot. No one ever answered the office phone.

The condo was nice and clean, in a very nice location, and the pool was reasonably maintained. But we called three times because there was no power in the master bathroom and the cable in the second bedroom didn't work. On the third call they said maintenance would come right away, but nobody showed. We called again, still no one came, and eventually gave up and used flashlights in the bathroom at night. The front desk, at a separate location, also didn't explain that the elevator would take you directly to the road.

The unit itself is very nice, but I wouldn't stay there again. You can't feel confident you'll be allowed to finish your week, or safe with someone watching your every move. The owners seemed to monitor us whenever we left for town or came back with groceries. The male owner made my daughter and the other young girl uncomfortable, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were a hidden camera somewhere in the unit. My daughter and I were there with another mother and daughter for a dance competition, along with other dance moms staying in the units. We had some of the moms over a couple of nights, stayed quietly on the balcony, and were later told we'd violated the guest rules. This was after we were unfairly evicted two nights before checkout. There were no warnings, just police sent to our unit, which scared the moms and daughters. Two mothers with minor daughters had no car and nowhere to go. The male owner kept using profanity in front of them, and nobody did anything. Beware of the owners of UNIT 2062. Just my advice.

I stayed here two years ago under different management, and the place has gone way downhill. This trip was much worse. The keypad looked like they never change the entry code. In the kitchen, the dishwasher hadn't been run, the soap and sponge were old and used, fridge shelves were broken, and one stove burner didn't work. They also didn't provide laundry soap, though they did on my previous stay. During COVID, they should have been replacing the soap and sponge. The couches were worn and dirty, bugs filled the sliding door tracks, and the glass doors were grubby. TV cords were plugged in across a doorway in a separate room. Bedroom comforters were torn and worn, furniture was in disrepair, and the mattress was the worst I've slept on. The bathrooms weren't clean and the tub knob was broken. Blinds in the second bedroom were broken too. The upstairs elevators were dirty and made awful noises. Cable and internet were out for about eight hours.
