The staff made this stay stand out for me. Everyone was friendly, professional, smiling, and accommodating, from the helpful front desk women to the breakfast attendant who kept everything stocked and took pride in the kitchen. Breakfast had lots of choices, and I loved the different coffees. The hotel was impeccable and so clean, with comfortable rooms, a good bed, microwave, coffee maker, and fridge. The pool was warm, open until 10, and didn't smell of chlorine. I've stayed at many Comfort Inns rated #1, but this one impressed me even more. The location took a little figuring out, though I got there, and the price wasn't terrible. I try to find a hotel under $100. I was there to take my sister for surgery and didn't know she'd be kept at the hospital. If I'd called directly and explained, I could've gotten a discount. That was my mistake, since I got one at another Gaylord hotel a month ago. I won't stay anywhere else in Gaylord. Thanks for the kind stay. These employees work hard and deserve raises or recognition.

Parking was plentiful and easy to access, which made coming and going simple. The complimentary breakfast also stood out, with plenty of fresh hot food and healthier choices beyond the usual basics. Most of all, the team made me feel welcome from check-in onward. Front desk and housekeeping staff were genuinely friendly, and Collin clearly sets a strong example as manager. His warm, professional manner keeps things running smoothly and guests well looked after, and that care shows in the whole staff. This Comfort Inn offers excellent hospitality, and I highly recommend it. We'll return on our next trip.

I could write a small book about how clean this hotel was. It's the cleanest I've been in for a long time, the rooms are nice, and the beds are comfortable. They had lotion, shampoo and conditioner, a microwave, fridge, and coffee pods in the room. Breakfast went way beyond continental: eggs with cheese, sausage, pancakes and waffles, yogurt, chocolate milk, bagels and other breads, applesauce, fruit cups, peanut butter, juices, plus several coffees available around the clock. The woman keeping the kitchen area running was so nice and kept everything filled, and the housekeeping staff were just as helpful and did an excellent job. Front desk ladies helped with whatever we needed. My sister had surgery and I didn't know she'd be kept in the hospital, so I was scrambling for a room. $119 was high for me, but I could've gotten a hospital discount if I'd booked direct. That was a dumb move on my part. I've stayed at lots of Comfort Inns, and some were dumps, but this one isn't. There's also a snack area with chips, soda, candy, TV dinners, and more. The pool was warm, didn't have the chlorine smell other places do, and stayed open until 10, I think. I wanted to try the outdoor hot tub, which sounds great in the snow, but I went in the pool first and chickened out once I was wet. Next time I'll do it. I told the manager how nice the hotel was and he was glad I spoke up. The staff deserve recognition and raises for their hard work. This is my go-to place in Gaylord, unless the price gets too high. Please keep it affordable. I'll be back soon.

The hotel felt welcoming and safe, and it was convenient for getting around Gaylord. Our stay at Comfort Inn & Suites in Gaylord, Michigan was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful, so check-in and the stay were easy. Breakfast had a good selection and was well stocked. I do wish the hot tub stayed open 24 hours like the pool, since it's nice to soak after a night ride of sledding. We'll definitely be back.

Those beds were AMAZING, I had the best sleep ever! The room was clean and modern, and the staff were super nice. The included shampoo and conditioner weren't great, more like dollar store quality, if you're picky about that. Otherwise, everything was amazing. The location is tucked in the back but easy to find, with a grocery store within walking distance. There's a cute coffee shop downtown, pizza across the way that's open late, and the big Buck brewery is also walkable. They have great food and drinks. People in the community are super friendly too.
