OYO Hotel Austin Street Giddings

Traveling with a toddler, we felt safe here. The rooms were cleaner than the competition, and the service compared well with the big companies. It's a small, affordable place, run by a sweet, helpful family who go out of their way to handle requests. Definitely worth the money, and I'd recommend it to everyone.

Nothing fancy, but it's neat and clean, and for the price it's one of the better places I've stayed. The guy running it is a sweetheart. I don't know how he makes the beds so comfortable, but they really are. That's why I gave it a 4.

That bed may be the most comfortable one I've ever slept in. My sister and I just needed somewhere to sleep during an overnight visit to Giddings, and we chose this place after reading the reviews. It's clean and comfortable, though the family running it is clearly renovating and a few minor issues remain. Kumar went out of his way to make us comfortable, with the kind of customer service that's rare these days. The railroad track is nearby and trains pass regularly, so noise could be an issue, though somehow it didn't bother me. If you just need a place to lay your head after a busy day, this works well.

I stopped here on the way to Port Aransas and plan to make it my regular stop on the way home. It's a special motel in the heart of Texas, family-owned and newly remodeled, with great service and all the basics at an affordable price.
