The rooms were clean, but the beds weren’t good. This is a very bare-bones extended-stay hotel: there’s no soap, shampoo, conditioner, silverware, pots, pans, plates, or cups. You can rent those for an extra $20. There’s no ice machine, and they couldn’t give us more than one room key.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and really helpful. We found plenty of restaurants nearby, and the price was good for high season in the Mesa/Gilbert area. It worked for us while we were visiting a relative in local assisted living, but it’s not a place for everyone. It’s an affordable long-stay hotel with basic amenities, and it serves that purpose well. It’s mostly hardworking workers staying there, and many are up early and in bed early. Even though it was full every night, including with families there for their kids’ sporting events, the noise through the walls and floors wasn’t as bad as I’ve experienced elsewhere. Still, the walls could do a better job of blocking sound. We could hear dogs running back and forth upstairs all night, which was really annoying. Management was alerted, and it stopped. Our room was clean, with lots of storage. The kitchenette has a two-burner stove, full-sized refrigerator with ice cube trays, microwave, and small sink, but no cooking utensils. There’s no ice machine in the building. The kitchen areas back onto each other between rooms, so you can hear banging when someone cooks. If you’re below the fourth floor, bring earplugs, or you’ll hear heavy footsteps overhead. It’s not really set up for vacations or families, unless you need an affordable place and won’t spend much time in the room. There’s laundry, a vending machine, and coffee that isn’t very good. Starbucks is across the parking lot. They don’t do daily room service, which I prefer. The hotel doesn’t claim to be anything more than a no-frills long-stay spot, but they shouldn’t allow pets.

For what it costs, this place feels like a total rip-off. The bed was wobbly on what looked like an Amazon frame, the walls were so thin we could hear people talking and banging around, and the room had a funky smell, like old food. It didn’t smell clean at all, and there were basically no amenities. It might be new, but it’s still a dump. I felt completely screwed staying here.

We couldn’t get any rest here and wouldn’t stay again. Long-term residents were talking in the hallway until 3am, going in and out of rooms and letting doors slam. The walls are paper-thin, and when it wasn’t the residents keeping us up, there was a train passing and blowing its whistle or horn every hour until 2am. Service was decent and friendly. There’s no coffee in the rooms, just coffee and hot water in the lobby, with no tea.

Room 130 is right beside the mechanical room, where massive compressors kept us awake. The low rate isn’t worth it. The booking process online felt rigged: you don’t see all the filters, and it picks an available room without showing them all. This place is bare-bones, and the manager was useless when I asked to cancel the last night after needing to check out early. They said there were no refunds. I’ll never stay here again or recommend it. It felt like a rip-off from the moment I booked.
