Super 8 by Wyndham Gilman

The breakfast was good, and the room was clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, which made for a pleasant stay at Super 8 by Wyndham Gilman. I'd come back.

It's no Ritz, but the clean sheets and pillows felt trustworthy to me. The owners were very kind and helpful, and they accommodated our request to keep rooms close together. It's much better than the other place in town. The room lock was broken, there were holes in the bedroom wall behind the door, and it could use more polish and upkeep. You can tell they try to save a buck. The towels felt like sandpaper. Still, it's a good place and I'll stay again.

I travel through here often and picked this place after seeing a lot of pilot cars stay there. On my first visit, they offered driver discounts and charged $86, which seemed fair for a 3 star hotel by active train tracks. The noise comes right through the windows, and the place isn't updated or accommodating. When I came back last night, I was charged another $40 for a much worse room, with no explanation for the price jump. It was $127 for one bed from 8:30 PM to 5:30 AM. The towels were rough, the bathtub in 113 wouldn't drain while I showered, and the water on the first floor felt slimy. I almost fell twice in the shower. I'll look elsewhere next time. Not worth $130.

The staff were pleasant, and the lady at the desk and manager Gary helped us a lot with a problem involving items we'd left behind. I really appreciated it. The room was comfortable and clean, with good lighting and plenty of towels. Breakfast included cereal, waffles, boiled eggs, and more. There's also an exercise room and washer and dryer, though we didn't use them. The little lobby was lovely and had a water dispenser. I'd recommend it.
