Days Inn by Wyndham Gilroy

We stayed one night with the kids while we were in town for an event. The room was basic but clean, and I didn’t see any bugs, which made me very happy. The front desk person was professional. We had warm water, and the fridge and microwave worked. This isn’t a luxury stay, so don’t expect that. It’s right behind a gas station and burgerking, and I did notice some strange people wandering around. They offer coffee in the morning, though I didn’t have any, and there is a pool we didn’t use. A basic place for the night.

It was a good place for a night, with nice staff and a convenient location at a low price. The room was okay, though the bathroom had some damage and the water pressure was weak. The pool outside was small but usable. The room’s AC eventually made it cold, but it took a while. The place felt a bit cheap, and breakfast was limited. The coffee was some of the worst I’ve ever had.

I wouldn’t stay here again. The room was uncomfortable and in bad shape: the door was broken, the toilet didn’t work right, and despite being listed as non-smoking, it smelled strongly of cigarettes. The power also went out during our stay. Then I spotted an unexplained extra $100 charge on my bank statement, and staff couldn’t give me a clear answer when I asked. Very disappointing.

Bed bugs everywhere, and the place is disgusting. I’ll never go back, and I’ve already told friends and family to avoid it. The manager can apologize as many times as he likes, but I won’t give this filthy motel another chance. How can you live knowing the place has nasty bed bugs? People should report it, get it fumigated, and shut it down.
