I only spent one night in a first-floor room. At check-in I found the shampoo and conditioner bottles completely empty, so I had to ask staff to refill them. The hotel says the rooms were recently remodeled, but when I got ready for bed I saw cockroaches flying around. One came in under the entrance door. I checked and found about a 1-inch gap beneath it.

The room was much bigger than I expected, with plenty of space, and we always found parking even over the weekend. Everyone was nice, and for the price I thought the service was a real plus. It also worked well as a base for exploring LA, with some good places to eat within walking distance. The area looked a little rough, but we felt safe, nobody bothered us, and nights were quiet. You get what you pay for here. If you're after a five-star hotel, this isn't it, but for a budget stay I thought it was a good value and would recommend it.

Really good service, and the room had a roomy kitchen and a nice bathroom.

I expected a clean, family-safe place from the photos, but the room was filthy. The walls and sheets were dirty, the blankets were dirty, and the couch was in such bad shape I wouldn't sit on it. The beds smelled of smoke. The bathroom was disgusting, and I wouldn't wash my dog in it. I even pushed the couch against the door because I felt I needed to make the room safer. I was worried about bedbugs, an infection, or even getting shot in the parking lot, especially with my children there. They offered another room, but I declined and asked for my $326.14 back. Staff argued with me and were rude, so I left. I then paid $401 for another hotel and don't regret it. This felt like a $50 motel for 18-year-olds to party in. I can't understand the good reviews. It's horrible, and I'd give it -20 out of 10 if I could. I especially wouldn't recommend it to families or a woman traveling alone. I absolutely do not recommend it if you expect clean, safe, or accommodating service.
