Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles Glendale

The location is great, but we won’t be back. We came with two young kids and were put in a wheelchair-accessible room that felt sterile, almost like a hospital room. There were no towel racks in the shower, and it wasn’t convenient for a family. After asking several times, we were moved the next day. Getting around by car was a pain. Our key cards wouldn’t open the garage gate either way, so every time we used the car we had to buzz the front desk and wait for them to let us through. For $40 a day, parking should be easier. The room keys were a problem too. I had to go to the desk every night to get mine reactivated. Housekeeping seemed short staffed and didn’t do a good job. When we moved rooms, there was still hair on the bathroom door. They clean every three days, but our room was untouched when we came back at 10:15 p.m. on Friday, even though I’d checked with the front desk earlier and been told it would be cleaned. The hotel was poorly managed from start to finish.

We had a great stay, and getting around was easy. Restaurants, The Americana, and the mall are all within walking distance in Glendale. The rooms are spacious, though there was so much air freshener that I wondered how the place smelled without it.

The room was comfortable and clean, and I loved the gym. It’s a nice spot, with churches, restaurants, and the mall all walkable.

Rain canceled the concert I was going to in LA, but they were able to move my reservation to the new date. Adam went above and beyond helping my family. I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without him.
