ROVE LIVING/KB - Zone Westgate

Parking is still a mess, and communication from Zone Westgate remains poor. My updated review is dated 12/23/22, and remodeling was still taking resident parking a year later. Residents sometimes get under 24 hours’ notice of restrictions by email after business hours, before cars are towed. There’s already too little parking, and they’ve taken more spaces for renovations, leaving residents with extra towing costs from Westgate’s lot or the complex. You can’t rent another reserved spot, either. Their advice was to keep circling until something opened and wait for construction to end. From around 4pm until after midnight, finding a space is difficult. Weekends are worse, with no parking from Friday night through Sunday night. I’ve seen people scramble, stand in spaces to save them, cut others off at the gate, or hold a spot while leaving their car in a garage or reserved space. Pillars at Westgate, the previous management before Zone Westgate took over, also remodeled before selling, but worked with residents and communicated well. Zone Westgate leaves people out of the loop. Keep your household to one car or none if you move here, or just choose somewhere else. My lease ends next month, and I haven’t considered renewing. They tried to raise my rent by over 10%, and getting answers from the front office has been difficult. They won’t let you read a lease before you agree to the rent price, and pricing arrived only two days before my 60-day notice was due. Their failure to contact a property owner promptly also cost me a rental and money. I spoke to the office face to face, and they promised to send the information that day, but never followed through. We had a much better experience with Pillars at Westgate on these issues. I wouldn’t recommend living here.

APT 3103. The property staff are wonderful, but DO NOT RENT AN AIR BNB FROM KB OR KLVG HOLDINGS!! He’s a total creep and kept lying to and misleading me. I can provide proof if anyone needs it. The unit was filthy, especially the floors, and the mattress and pillows were stained too.

I’ve had a miserable three months here. Don’t let the nice pictures fool you, and DO NOT MOVE HERE! Our townhome costs 1900 dollars but has the cheapest appliances. The fridge has smelled like fish the whole time I’ve lived here, and maintenance has come over more than six times to fix things. They don’t accept ESA animals even though they legally have to. Read the lease carefully: it says you can’t break it even if DEATH is involved. They’re money hungry and don’t care about residents. Lesa, the assistant manager, is completely unhelpful. This is the worst apartment community I’ve ever lived in.

The apartment is newly renovated and in great shape, with only a few problems so far. Jorge the maintenance man has been kind to me and my anxious dog while handling work orders, and he’s been attentive and timely. The office staff, especially Lexi, were helpful and kind before, during, and after I signed the lease and moved in.
